Fokofpolisiekar performed in the Atterbury Theatre in Pretoria this week.  They have been on the scene for almost 10 years .  It doesn’t seem that long ago when I took part in a debate at  Beeld whether to use the name as is in print or without the swearing (a debate that now seems absurd.)  Over the years I have seen them performing at festivals and shows across South Africa.  Some performances better than others but always with energy and sincerity.   They have evolved in their personal and professional lives.  Getting married, haircuts, dogs and even careers but still they put on a fucking good show.

Look out for an interview with the band in Beeld‘s Kuns en Vermaak pages on Tuesday (18/12)

Link to the interview in Beeld.
